  Many members of Mornington Peninsula Historical Vehicles Club recently visited Korumburra Railway Station and were very sad to hear that not only have the trains stopped using this "Line", but lack of volunteers is causing the station to shut down as an attraction for Tourists as well as rail Enthusiasts..........this must not be allowed to happen from anyone's point of view............surely no-one can deny the population is exponentially increasing; so why would our Government allow a Rail Line to fall into dis-repair that is needed NOW and more so into the future, for all manner of human and cargo transport, with the added attraction of preserving our Heritage and millions of hours and countless Pounds and Dollars spent on this line since inception ?

  Does anyone know how many returned ANZACS have worked on any of our Heritage Lines in Victoria ? ..........please comment here if you do have any positive things to add............I witnessed the destruction of our most beautiful Heritage Railway Station at Mornington Beach, of the Mornington Peninsula, for the sake of the almighty "corporate dollar" resulting in an ugly and much un-needed Coles Shopping Centre where it has been built, amongst hundreds of long established Main Street Shops........shame on those responsible...........

  Along with the Heritage Station, was destroyed the Water Tower and Turn Table and all Railway land from north of the Highway to just short of the Beach, that only a multi-billionaire could possibly buy back. Good luck with that.............let's not let this happen to ANY more Stations or ANY more lines............Bernie
