Interesting site. The kids loved running all over the place. Free entry is also hard to beat :-)

A very good community run place. You may be tempted to think it is a little weather beaten. You may find coal less exciting than other minerals. You would do well to remember that it is free to enter, the general store sells excellent lollies, they have frequent events and coal is more fun than it sounds. And they have a ride on train which sounds like a 56k modem logging on. Where else do you get that sort of thing?

Great place to go with free entry. The train was messy and littered with rubbish when we visited which was a bit of a let down. Overall good experience.

I absolutely loved Coal Creek. The staff were lovely and worked so well with the children keeping them absolutely engaged and enthralled. The relics and displays were also fun to see and the kids loved eating their lunch on the old coach train.

Great place for the family, good to see history kept alive & interactive. The Halloween event is a lot of fun
